Youth hiring pledge commits employer to major ESG goal

An employer has launched a goal of hiring 10% of employees from disadvantaged youth backgrounds, as it builds out its ESG commitments.

IT recruitment and services company Talent made the "one in 10" pledge earlier this month, says CEO Mark Nielsen.

Supporting young people with barriers to employment is "something we're passionate about", he tells HR Daily, and the pledge means that for every 10 people who work in Talent, the company wants one to have come through its charity arm Talent Rise, or alternatively be part of the Talent Rise team...
