Think beyond 'optics' when hiring boomerang employees

In this tight labour market it's a mistake for employers not to welcome back 'boomerang' employees, recruitment experts say.

Slade Group is one company famous for rehiring former staff over its decades in operation, and founder Geoff Slade tells HR Daily that 15% of current employees have left the business and returned.

Some employees have even come back up to three times, with one saying they have "develop[ed] a deeper connection with every return".

But this isn't something Slade has always been open to, which he now says was a "mistake"...
