IME direction after "disturbing" comments was lawful and reasonable

An employee who made "troubling" comments during a performance meeting and then took extended sick leave was fairly sacked after refusing to attend an IME, the Fair Work Commission has ruled.

In June 2020, the RMIT University educator was certified unfit for work and took paid personal leave, following "workplace issues" during the first teaching semester.

He returned to teaching in February 2021, but soon after complained about his workload...
