EVPs becoming "too grey" to attract the right talent

A "subtle shift" is occurring in EVPs, whereby employers are becoming more tightly focused on how to get people with the right capability into their business.

As the talent market normalises ahead of a possible downturn, Peak Corporate Solutions founder Malcolm Peak says leading organisations are becoming better at targeting their employee value proposition (EVP) to attract, recruit and retain more capable people.

"People that come to us say, 'we don't want an employer brand, we want to develop an employee value proposition because we want to hold on to the great people we've got and open the eyes of others out there to make us their first choice of employer'," he tells HR Daily.

This is partly because employers are also realising that many of their new hires don't have the right skills for their roles...
