Employers still in the dark when it comes to workforce visibility

A "missing link" in many organisations, regardless of size, is adequate visibility on workforce capability, according to an expert who says the problem is becoming more urgent.

In the past year, the dial on this has changed as more executives and leaders have realised they need to improve their visibility, says Sue Howse, managing director of The Human Collaborative.

"It's always been important, but it's critical, now more than ever," Howse tells HR Daily.

One of her clients, an Australian C-suite member of a global organisation, recently said they'd be better off using LinkedIn, rather than their own internal systems, to understand the skills of their workforce...
