Employer "carefully" considered adjustments before dismissal

A manager with post-traumatic stress disorder has accused an employer of having "no care factor", claiming that with the right support and adjustments, she could have returned to work.

In late 2019, the Aldi store manager was pregnant with her third child when her husband died. She was diagnosed with PTSD and did not go back to work until early 2021.

During a shift two months later, a man collapsed while in the store and an ambulance was called. He ended up leaving with a friend, but the incident triggered the manager's PTSD and she was certified unfit to work.

Aldi subsequently required the manager to undergo a capacity assessment and, following a meeting to discuss the findings, she suggested a number of adjustments to facilitate her return to work on reduced hours...
