Employee with 'propensity to overreact' loses psych claim

It was reasonable for a manager to correct an employee's "strongly held" belief that he could choose his own working hours, a tribunal has found in psychological injury proceedings.

The Bureau of Meteorology employee claimed his adjustment disorder with symptoms of anxiety and depression was aggravated by a meeting with his manager in March 2017.

Comcare accepted the employee suffered a psychological injury, but denied liability on the basis the meeting was reasonable administrative action taken in a reasonable manner, and the employee subsequently appealed...
