CHROs a "key catalyst" to unlocking productivity premium

Organisations that unlock the "growth combination" of data, tech, and people can expect to gain an 11% top-line productivity premium, and CHROs will play a critical role, according to new Accenture research.

Accenture's report talks about a new type of CHRO who leads their C-suite peers in connecting data, technology and people, and in cultivating collaboration. These "high-res" leaders accelerate "continuous reinvention" and end up impacting every part of the company.

Accenture's head of HR for Australia and New Zealand, Sarah Kruger, says that while data acumen wasn't a prerequisite when many of today's HR leaders were at university, the quality of data that can now be collected, and the insight that can be gained, are making it a core capability for CHROs.

Finance and HR departments that once had "completely different sets of information" about their people can now integrate that data to achieve "a single source of truth" that offers a reliable picture of the present state of an organisation's workforce, Kruger says. Such data can be used to answer questions such as "how busy have our people been?", "who's taken leave?", "who's working on what?" and "where's engagement at?"...
