Case study: 'Presilience' drives better decision-making capability

Approaching leaders' resilience more proactively is helping an employer respond to ambiguity with more "foresight, hindsight and insight", its people leader says.

Achieve Australia is embedding a "presilience" approach into the organisation, according to chief people officer Lorraine Salloum.

Presilience is about agility and resilience, and "that allows you to proactively embrace opportunities and manage outcomes regardless of what that might look like", she explains.

Salloum says "being resilient doesn't mean you're able to manage uncertainty, it just means that you respond to it, whereas presilience is around... risk intelligence and high-performance culture"...
