Better data needed to support talent strategies

Too many internal recruitment teams still lack access to the types of data and analytics that can properly inform their talent strategies, an advisor says.

After recent Talent Table events in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne Paula Valenzuela, who hosted the sessions, says it became clear that talent acquisition (TA) leaders need much better insights to guide their organisations' hiring practices.

"Data analytics offers 'game changing' information," she tells HR Daily.

But many talent leaders present had no idea about their cost of hire, for example, when this is an essential metric: "if you want to get buy-in, do an analysis on your cost to hire"...
