AI needs "onboarding" just like a new employee

Employers that take the time to "onboard" their AI tools will be far more likely to realise productivity gains than those taking an approach of "just roll it out and see what happens", a business intelligence specialist says.

According to William Wright, a senior consultant with Pitcher Partners, research suggests AI tools improve employee productivity by up to 66%. Specifically, Nielsen Norman research shows business professionals using AI can produce 59% more documents per hour, and programmers can code 126% more projects per week.

But many organisations are far from realising gains anywhere near these levels, Wright tells HR Daily, and the difference hinges on how well they prepare for the change...
