Many employers are failing to address the "legacy issue" of viewing communication, problem-solving, collaborative leadership and strategic thinking skills, as "soft", and prioritising technical skills at their expense, new research shows.
The Project Management Institute's latest pulse of the profession report says almost half (46%) of the respondents to its annual global project management survey, which canvassed the views of almost 3,500 "project professionals", reported spending most of their professional development hours on technical skills.
