Restructure stress aggravated by "miscommunication", but redeployment was reasonable

An employee's stress during a restructure was potentially exacerbated by some "miscommunication", but her redeployment was reasonable and didn't force her to resign, the Fair Work Commission has ruled.

The team leader ended her employment with SAA Management Pty Ltd late last year then claimed unfair dismissal, arguing her redeployment to another role was harsh, unjust or reasonable because the employer hadn't consulted and communicated with her about the change.

She said this impacted her health and wellbeing and left her with no alternative but to resign...
