Question mark over reliability of recruiter review platform

A platform that lets employers and candidates view performance ratings of recruitment companies and individual consultants is potentially breaching the Australian Consumer Law, research suggests.

HR Daily's associate site Shortlist reported last month that concerns had been raised about recruitment review platform Sourcr, which pitches itself as "the market leader for recruiter reviews and performance data".

(The site helps recruiters to build their brands by attaching their profiles, reviews and star-based ratings to their own websites and to job ads posted on Seek, which acquired the company in 2021.)

Concerns were initially raised about the platform allowing recruiters to manually add customer testimonials, from third-party sites such as LinkedIn and Google, to their profiles, and in doing so edit the content and add ratings that didn't previously exist...
