'Modesty' is holding back HR's career growth

HR leaders now have an "amazing opportunity" to exert their influence, but a few things are standing in their way, according to a leadership expert.

The "heart" of the issue is that, "as a group of professionals, HR leaders tend to be relatively self-effacing", leadership and brand expert Mark Hodgson tells an HR Daily Premium webcast.

Another factor is that "selling 'you' is hard", he says.
