Gender pay gap falls to lowest point on record

The national gender pay gap has dropped to 13.3%, but while it's "trending in the right direction", the Workplace Gender Equality Agency says there's still more work to do.

The pay gap is a 0.1 percentage point decrease from its previous low of 13.4% in February 2021.

As of November last year, women's average weekly ordinary full-time earnings across all industries and occupations are $1,653.60, while men's are $1,907.10. In other words, women earn on average 87 cents for every $1 earned by men...
