Employees' personal data needs better protection: Government

The Federal Government has flagged introducing enhanced privacy protections for private-sector employees, including by reforming the employee records exemption.

Earlier this year, the Attorney-General Department's Privacy Act Review concluded that Australia's privacy laws remain fit-for-purpose in the digital age, but nonetheless must be overhauled.
