Burnout compensation ban a "disconnect" with employers' duties

A workers' compensation overhaul could have far-reaching consequences for workers suffering from burnout and stress, and for their employers, a specialist warns.

The Victorian Government has described its workers' comp scheme as "fundamentally broken", and on Friday, the Government made some significant announcements regarding its planned fixes.

Notably, it intends to introduce legislative changes to limit access and benefits for mental injury claims, and restrict access to ongoing compensation for workers whose claims have lasted more than 2.5 years, under a new impairment test...
