Managers' stress levels 'shocking but not surprising': research

Some 75% of managers are now experiencing stress and burnout, with over half spending up to five hours per week providing emotional support to their teams, according to new research.

HR platform Circle In surveyed more than 1,000 managers about their current challenges for its new report, and compared to 2022, there have been some "pretty alarming" developments, founder Jodi Geddes says.

Nine in 10 managers say the volume of support they provide to their team has either increased or stayed the same since 2022, the report shows. And 70% of managers say providing that support impacts their own stress levels, up from 50% two years ago...
