Three traits make or break employees' remote work success

As employers continue to tweak their hybrid strategies, an employment lawyer warns of the need to take into account whether an individual's character suits working remotely, not just whether their role can be performed that way.

There was no time to think about this in the early stages of the pandemic, when it was a case of, "everyone grab a laptop and start working at home", says 3D HR Legal director Jo Alilovic.

"If we did consider suitability, it was more in the context of wondering about the person's family life and home capacity," she says in her new book, Homeforce.

But Alilovic says this is where many strategies can "fall down"...
