Banking employers lead the pack on building diverse talent pipelines

On a global index that measures the strength of employers' female talent pipelines, among other factors, major banks are clearly ahead of other Australian employers.

Bloomberg's 2022 Gender-Equality Index (GEI) scores companies across five key pillars: female leadership and talent pipeline, equal pay and gender pay parity, inclusive culture, anti-sexual harassment policies, and pro-women brand.

Each pillar contributes to a "comprehensive view of workplace dynamics, backed by a transparent, data-driven methodology", according to the 2022 Index.

Some 559 companies participated in the GEI, and 16% were based in APAC...
